DIRSL

Overview

A hybrid plan combines two or more compensation structures on the same member base. The most common pairing is binary + unilevel: the binary tree rewards team volume and momentum, while the unilevel sponsor tree rewards personal enrolment depth and retail. Other popular hybrids include matrix + unilevel, unilevel + auto-pool, and binary + generation.

Hybrids exist because no single plan fits every behaviour. Binary alone can over-reward passive spillover; unilevel alone can feel slow. Together, with separate caps and qualification rules, companies can tune payout to encourage exactly the behaviour they want.

DIRSL runs each engine independently on a shared genealogy (placement tree for binary, sponsor tree for unilevel), with separate caps, cycles and reports, then settles everything into one member wallet.

How it works

  1. 01

    Choose your engines

Pick a primary plan (team volume) and a secondary plan (sponsorship), for example binary + unilevel.

  2. 02

    Two trees, one member

Each member exists in the placement tree (binary legs) and the sponsor tree (unilevel levels).

  3. 03

    Separate rules

Each engine has its own percentages, caps, cycles and qualification.

  4. 04

    Shared ranks

Rank is calculated once, from combined criteria, and unlocks benefits in both engines.

  5. 05

    One payout

All commissions settle into a single wallet with a line-by-line statement.

Strengths and watch-outs

Strengths

  • Rewards both team building and personal sponsorship
  • Tunable: fix one engine's weakness with the other
  • Competitive in recruiting experienced leaders
  • Highest flexibility for established companies

Watch-outs

  • More to explain and more to audit
  • Payout ratio can creep up without guardrails
  • Requires a mature engine; most licence scripts bolt it on badly

FAQ

Binary + unilevel, by a wide margin. It balances momentum with sponsorship.

Yes, placement and sponsor trees. DIRSL maintains both automatically.

Set per-engine caps and a company-wide payout ceiling. DIRSL's simulator shows the combined ratio.

Yes, for example an auto-pool or leadership pool layer, without migrating data.

You define rank criteria that can reference either tree; rank is computed once per run.

Yes. The member statement shows each engine's lines and the combined total.
